Children
As we have two young children ourselves we understand the extra strain involved when traveling with children. Therefore one of our main aims is to provide accommodation that is safe and equipped for children. We provide highchairs (good quality wooden ones); cots with bedding (proper ones not travel cots); baby gates, bouncy chairs; play gyms; bed guards; potties; toys and games as well as a good selection of kids videos.
We also make sure that all our properties have some kind of outdoor entertainment, such as badminton, play areas, sand pits, and / or play houses. We know how hard it is to relax on holiday especially with very young children, therefore we put all our accommodation to the test by way of our two-year old, who to say the least is very adventurous, and if something is dangerous then he will find it first!
We feel our accommodation and location are an excellent choice for families with babies, especially in early or late summer when it’s not too hot or busy. Before we moved to Slovenia we purchased equipment that we knew would come in handy to parents with babies such as bottle sterilizers, changing mats and inserts for high chairs.
Other items that are on hand are car seats and booster seats. Again we have been frustrated in the past by car hire companies that look at you as though you are insane when you ask for a car seat. Or they charge you a ridicules daily charge.
And finally, the charge that some hotels / self-catering accommodation make for a cot or high chair or even an extra child! I come from a family where there were three children (all girls). My mother used to get very frustrated when she booked our annual holiday as a lot of holiday companies wouldn’t put in an extra bed, or if they did charges a fortune for the privilege.
